I started serious Investing Journey in Jan 2000 to create wealth through long-term investing and short-term trading; but as from April 2013 my Journey in Investing has changed to create Retirement Income for Life till 85 years old in 2041 for two persons over market cycles of Bull and Bear.

Since 2017 after retiring from full-time job as employee; I am moving towards Investing Nirvana - Freehold Investment Income for Life investing strategy where 100% of investment income from portfolio investment is cashed out to support household expenses i.e. not a single cent of re-investing!

It is 57% (2017 to Aug 2022) to the Land of Investing Nirvana - Freehold Income for Life!

The Emotion Of Holding To Stocks and Property

Investors tend to hold on to their properties far longer than holding on to stocks.

We often hear success stories of investors holding on to their property long enough to sell them off at 1XX% of capital gain.

But we seldom hear investors holding on to their stocks and giving their stocks chance to become multi-baggers stocks.

For example, I believe at Mar 09 low there were many investors might have caught some solid blue chips with high dividend yield of 8-10%; but didn't really hold on to them to become multi-baggers.

It is very emotional to hold on to fast rising stocks.

Mutli-bagger Stocks

Value Investing - It is about multi-baggers

So if you are able to control your own emotions to hold on to multi-baggers stocks to receive good dividends and as well as trading them from time to time, your investing experience may well be different and may have the same winning feel of a successful property investor.

I am likely to hold on to the two longest dividend and pillow stocks: Keppel Corp (2001) and Semb Corp (2002) for a few more years:
